...outburst of militaristic doctrine in "The Mail" yesterday is indicative of the perverted sense of patriotism possessed by most Mil. Sci. students, except those who go out to ride the horses. It shows that there will always be a certain half-backed, deluded element who are the sheep led by the militarist higher up. Your champion for cheated students is barking up the wrong tree when he attacks the Mil. Sci. department. Apparently he has a room-mate who is taking courses offered by that department, and is basing his argument on just what has been told him. He gives the impression of a freshman frantically hunting for something to write about a half hour before the deadline at Warren House...
After bemoaning the presence of so many little subjects in the curriculum, you then go on in favor of more unrelated subjects. Remember that the Mil. Sci. Dept. is training men for the field artillery, not in chemical warfare, coast artillery, anti-craft warfare, all of which are separate branches of the army...
