Yesterday the lacrosse twelve returned from one of the longest and the most successful trips ever made by a Harvard athletlc team. Victory crowned the efforts of our men in every contest, and at the end, the score was four victories and no defeats, and a total of 23 goals won to 4 lost. Never has there been a finer lacrosse team in any of the colleges, and it is doubtful if there was ever a better one of native American players than the one which represents Harvard this year. ...York was that Williamsburgh would win. The contest took place in Prospect Park, Brooklyn. Occasional showers of rain made the ground slippery and treacherous under the players' feet. The first game was between the Druids and Stevens Institute. The Druids won after a hard fought contest, by a score of four goals to three. Williamsburg and Harvard played the second game. Princeton and New York University played in the third game of the tournament. Princeton presented a stronger team than she did in the recent intercollegiate game at Cambridge. having secured the services of J. A. Hodge, '83, as point. Princeton won easily. Score, 7 goals to none. Princeton, the Druids, and Harvard were thus the competitors in the final round. Harvard was so lucky as to draw the bye.
