Princeton defeated Yale yesterday afternoon by a score of 14 to 11. The game was most exciting throughout. Thefielding of both teams was poor and the contest became a battle of pitchers and batsmen. In the first part of the game Stagg showed himself to be a superior pitcher to Ames, but the loose fielding of the Yale men seemed to discourage Stagg, and during the latter part of the game his pitching was much less effective The features of the game were the heavy batting of McClintock, Calhoun and Payne.
