...University shooting team was defeated by Yale, at the traps on Yale Field, Saturday afternoon, by a score 224 to 223 out of a possible 250. Both teams did remarkably well considering the strong wind, and came near the intercollegiate record of 225. The best individual score was made by J. R. Gilman '09, who hit 49 clay pigeons out of a possible 50, while F. Trudeau, of Yale, scored 48. The summary follows: HARVARD. YALE. Yale was tied by Brown, 10 to 10, at New Haven last Saturday. The visiting team outplayed Yale at every point and might have won the game, had it been more proficient in kicking goals from touchdowns. Brown scored the first touchdown early in the game by a forward pass to Dennie, left end, after Coy had fumbled a punt. The try for goal failed.
