During the Christmas recess, Professors Royce and James will complete their series of lectures on the Philosophy of Natural Religion at the Universities of Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Glasgow and Saint Andrews, Scotland. These lectures were founded by the late Lord Gifford, judge in the high court of justice in Scotland, who gave 80,000 pounds at his death to the Universities of Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Glasgow and Saint Andrews, in order that they might arrive at a clearer conception of natural religion. The lectures, last year, were very successful and are now being printed. The first half, under the title of "The World and the Individual," by Professor Royce, will appear in a few days and will be used in his courses.
