...Messrs. Appleton, Proctor, Robbins, Ayer, Masson, Hogue, Thompson, finished in the order named. Mr. Robbins plucky riding was much praised. The course was a difficult one, about 15 miles for the hounds and owing to the losing of scent constantly and the bad roads, it was impossible for the scratch man to get away from the other hounds. Owing to Mr. Norton being handicapped, as a previous winner, 1st and 2nd prizes go to Mr. Matthewson L. S. S. and Captain Smith respectively. Mr. Harrison was awarded time cup.
