...University team will play the second game of its schedule with Bowdoin in the Stadium this afternoon at 3 o'clock. Last year in the first game of the season Harvard barely won from Bowdoin by one touchdown, 5 to 0. This season Bowdoin has played one game, defeating Fort McKinley 18 to 0. This is the same team which held Bates to a no score tie game. Bowdoin seems to be a little stronger than Bates, though there are but four veterans on the team...

...Season tickets at $2 each are one sale at Leavitt & Peirce's and the Co-operative in Cambridge, and Wright & Ditson's in Boston. These tickets may be bought by the public, and each person may buy as many as he desires. They, however, do not admit to the Cornell, Dartmouth or Yale games. The tickets for these games will be sold by application in the same way as Yale game seats were issued last year. Application blacks will be issued later and special announcements of sales for the last three games will be made at that time

...University football team opened its season yesterday afternoon in the Stadium by defeating Bates, 11 to 0. The score does not show the real difference between the two teams, as Bates was outclassed in every department of the game. Last year the score of the Bates game was 18 to 0 in favor of Harvard, but as is was played nearly two weeks later in the season the University team was a far more finished and powerful machine. The game, however, was by no means disappointing. There was considerable team work, and element which is very often wanting...
