...Virginia Keep Your Thumbs on the Wheel Text-messaging continues to grow in popularity, but a new study offers a sobering reminder that it should never spread to the driver's seat. Truckers texting behind the wheel were 23 times as likely to get into an accident or near miss as those focused on the road, according to the Virginia Tech Transportation Institute, which collected data from 6 million miles of driving.
