Yesterday's practice was loose at times, but otherwise fast and aggressive. Although the 'Varsity was held for downs by the second eleven but once in the course of the line up, three times the ball was lost for holding. The new defence was very effective, not only preventing the second from gaining, but also easily breaking up the guards-back formation. In the preliminary practice, the first eleven devoted some time to the study of new formations and trick-plays, while Sawin tried for goals from the field...
