...secret practice of the University football team yesterday afternoon was more encouraging than on Monday. Both the offense and the defense proved more effective, and in a 15-minute scrimmage with the second eleven the University team won, 5 to 0. The line-up was considerably changed in order to familiarize the men with positions they are likely to be called upon to play on Saturday, if Meier and Derby do not sufficiently recover from their recent injuries to enter the game. Brill did not report for practice yesterday but in all probability will be in condition to play...

...secret practice of the University football team yesterday afternoon was exceedingly discouraging. The defense proved utterly ineffective and as a result the second eleven had little difficulty in defeating the University team by a score of 10 to 5. Hurley and Meier were both on the field but did not take part in the scrimmage. Randall and Noyes were also out but were given only light work, the latter on account of a cut in the head received in the game with Holy Cross on Saturday. Brill did not report for practice yesterday but will probably be in condition again...

...secret practice of the University football team yesterday afternoon, no preliminary work was given other than an unusually long signal drill to better the running-off of plays. The line-up against the second eleven was again long, lasting over 30 minutes. The University team scored five touchdowns, but this was due in a measure to the fact that the ball was several times arbitrarily given to the University team for the purpose of developing a stronger offense. The second eleven was as a whole not very strong, but was several times able to hold the University team for downs...

...University football team, in secret practice yesterday afternoon, was given no preliminary work other than signal practice. The line-up against the second eleven, however, was longer than usual and consisted of two 20-minute halves. In offensive work a slight improvement was apparent. This was not, however, manifest in the defense, as the second eleven, although weak, carried the ball for long gains. The University team scored three touchdowns during the scrimmage, two in the first half and one in the second. Mills did not take part in the practice. Meier and Hurley were on the field...

...work of the University football squad in secret practice yesterday afternoon was light, as is usually the case after a hard game. Most of the men who played in the Dartmouth game on Saturday were allowed to engage only in preliminary work and in a long signal practice. Brill did not report, having left Cambridge to vote, and Starr was not on the field as it was thought best to give him a day's rest. Meier was out but did only very light work on account of an injured arm. Montgomery and Jones were on the field...
