First for the facts: at present the H. A. A. has received 101 undergraduate applications for the Princeton game; it takes at the very least 300 men in the cheering section to even form the "H". It is certainly out of the question to consider the possible railroad strike as a cause of student lethargy; it hardly seems as if many men are seriously deterred from buying a ticket from fear of spending three dollars for nothing. Finally, on Saturday it was evident that there was a willingness on the part of the men in the cheering section to sing. Would it not be possible for some member of the Glee Club, who has had experience in this line to be appointed to lead the singing? We have a remarkable collection of football songs many of which are familiar to most students. Why not let them be heard...

During the past week there has been expressed no little dissatisfaction with the present cheering situation. Part of the criticism has been directed at the lack of a central cheering section and part at the custom of having the captains of major sport teams act as cheer leaders. Last night it was announced that sections 32 and 33 are reserved for H. A. A. ticket holders. This means that in those sections there will be no one but Harvard supporters, unencumbered and no longer obliged to compete with outsiders interested not in seeing Indiana win but in seeing Harvard lose...
