Each contestant will play one game with every man in the section, and the two winning the most games in each section will go in the finals. The first games will be played this evening at the rooms of the Chess Club, 25 Roberts Block, and arrangements can there be made among the contestants, for future meetings. All games in the preliminary round must be finished Wednesday, Dec. 16th, and results must be brought to 49 Hastings, on or before that date...
