...more we think in terms of are we doing everything that is within our power to affect good outcomes, and then expect responsibility from all our institutions - government, business, non-for-profit sector - then I think that's a pretty good recipe for the continued success of the American experiment. And when people see a lack of responsibility - it's part of the reason why people are furious about the bank bailouts - then they feel betrayed, particularly when they're acting responsibly in their own lives...
