...Harvard man, from the oldest alumnus to the youngest Freshman, will find things to delight him in the September number of the Graduates' Magazine. Perhaps the newly registered undergraduate is wary of an publication which, like the starred courses in the Catalogue, seem "primarily for graduates." If so, he will be happily surprised as well as pleased to read the lively summary of 1911's Student Life and Athletics, the story of the New London race, and the sketch of the International Games. But he will feel in all, in illustrations and in text, in biographical sketches, in essays...
...meeting was presided over by L. D. Smith '12, who introduced as the first speaker of the evening Professor Bliss Perry, who welcomed the students to Brooks House in behalf of the Faculty. He said that at first everything would seem strange and new to men just entering College. But he urged all to mix in College activities, feeling certain that soon the strangeness would wear off. College is simply a place where broader fields are opened, not a place where any radical change in life takes place. However, there is no place in College for bluffers. When...

The University line has been shifted continually, Captain Fisher, Gardiner, and Huntington being the only players who seem to be at all permanent. At the ends Smith and Felton appear secure, both being experienced players and veterans from last year. The backfield is problematical, as yet, but all except T. H. Frothingham are "H" men Keays was on the 1913 Freshman team and last year was a substitute for the University team. Jenckes at left tackle played on the second team last...
...athletic regime at Princeton, which has for a director William W. Roper, the Tigers made a successful bid for more athletic honors than they are wont to secure. They won the championship in wrestling, beyond dispute. After carefully considering all the claimants to the baseball championship it would seem that Princeton is more deserving of this mythical honor than any other institution, with Cornell, Amherst and Williams following in order named. Princeton is awarded the title not because the Tigers won more games or lost less than any of their rivals, but because they did better in the games which...
