...second annual Freshman track meet was held yesterday afternoon in the Stadium. The weather conditions were bad, and the track soft, but good performances were seen in almost all events, and the meet on the whole was very encouraging. The most closely contested event was the one-mile run. R. E. Dole kept the lead for three laps, but J. R. Coolidge forced him all the last lap, and finally won by a few inches. Owing to lack of entries the 220-yard hurdle race was omitted...

...work on the forward pass and other open plays. In this work there was no attempt at a regular scrimmage. The team seems to have acquired a fair amount of confidence in the use of the open plays, and in consequence they work out to better advantage, as was seen in the Springfield game last Saturday. She then joins Aegisthus, whom she saves from the fury of the Argives and with whom she enters the palace. The chorus then files out with the dead bodies...

...practice yesterday the University crew entered the shell from the launch below the Longwood bridge, paddled down stream to a point a few hundred yards below Harvard bridge and back to the boathouse. The men put more life into the work than has been seen for some time past, and there was no loss of drive or shortening of the stroke. Morgan, however, was rather short on his slide, but his work on the whole was creditable, considering the fact that yesterday was only his second trial in the position, and that he has been shifted to the starboard side...
