Usage:

Ideas are intangible and unstable things. They cannot hold the attention of the hurrying multitudes of the city for a great length of time, seldom for as long as they deserve. But a solution lies in translating them into concrete--or brick--realities. This is the means which the Harvard Club of Boston has taken to establish the idea that Boston and Cambridge are united by the strong, though invisible, ties of Harvard. As long as Harvard is in Cambridge, so long will Boston be a centre of interest for Harvard men, graduates and undergraduates. It is, therefore...

...meeting was not important, but in its indication of the interest of college men in the service, its significance can scarcely be realized. Administrations, political leaders, even business men are continually wondering why more of us do not go into the distinctly honorable calling of the diplomat. They seldom wonder at the fact that many do go into the calling, in spite of the irregularity of tenure and the pitifully small remuneration. And the answer to the problem is so simple that its simplicity has probably caused it to be overlooked: In this country, almost alone of the great nations...

...Mills played t guard was particularly pleasing, for he seemed not only to do his work well on the defence but to be down with the ends under punts. Of the line-men, Captain, Storer and Hitchcock, the veterans, played par excellence. Not a play got by them and seldom could the ends beat them down the field. Of the ends, Milholland, O'Brien, and L. Curtis all showed up well, though several times they needed assistance after getting sucked in on end plays. The work of Milholland and Curtis in taking forward passes was particularly encouraging...

...University team had men on bases in almost every inning but seldom got the "breaks." In the last inning with out out, the prospects for evening up the score looked exceedingly bright after Wingate and Clark had reached second and third respectively on consecutive errors by Toomey. The last mentioned broke up the game, however, by making a beautiful catch of Ayres's hard drive over second and manipulating a double play with the assistance of Glendenning...
