Owing to a new invention, the work of M. Belin, it is now possible to send and have delivered an autograph telegram. The sender of a telegram has only to write his message on a revolving cylinder covered with paper. Special ink is used which makes the words appear in slight relief; a delicate needle then strikes the obstacles made by the letters, is jerked upward and interrupts the electric circuit.
