...often the case, however, the supporting actors often outshone the stars. Ciji Ware as Appassionata von Climax was her usual totally arresting and overwhelmingly sensuous self. Suzy Dimmitt was quite electrifying as Stupefyin' Jones, making the loss of the Old Howard seem lass tragic. Evil Eye Fleagle Max Byrd threatened to steal the show everytime he appeared just by standing around with his incredibly plastic face; when he talked and threw whammies around even Mammy Yokum, superbly played by Susan Medcalf, was overwhelmed...

MARY BAUERMEISTER - Bonino, 7 West 57th. In the forefront of the frantic search for new materials, a young German artist creates sensuous surfaces with polished pebbles, drinking straws, hollow shells, wood. ...Realist Marc Saporta's do-it-yourself novel-which by all logic should have been a boring nonbook-is that it turns out to be a provocative piece of literary gimcrackery. This is in large part due to Saporta's skill at clicking off brisk, precise, sensuous sentences with the cool ease of a man spinning coins on a marble table. But it owes much to his use of the literary come-on. On one page, for example, Dagmar is seen standing next to a Christmas tree. "Through the tree's branches," writes Saporta, "Dagmar looks like...
