Since 1884 Cook has coached each successive crew during the Easter recess, and his refusal this year makes a set-back for Yale. Yale thus far has practically had no coach except Captain Hartwell. Yesterday, while scaling a fence, Captain Perkins caught his toe and was thrown violently to the ground. He received a severe injury to his arm which necessitates carrying it in a sling for several days. This is a serious set-back to the 'varsity crew.
