News reports of violence in Israel, though, are not outright lies. The intifada exists. Palestinians do throw stones and Molotov cocktails at Israeli targets, stab Israeli soldiers and civilians, and--increasingly--shoot and kill Israeli settlers travelling in the West Bank and Gaza.
