Beginning this afternoon, at 4.45 o'clock in Sever 11, Mr. Copeland will give a series of five Wednesday afternoon lectures on the English essayists. The lectures will be alternated with readings from the essayists and contemporary writers. Today's lecture will be on Bacon. The dates and subjects for the other four lectures will be as follows; November 18, Addison and Steele; December 2, Goldsmith; December 16, Hazlitt; January 13, Lamb.
