Which is why it would be a shame if the McLean Committee for Student Rights succeeds in dismantling Turnitin. Yes, it is important to trust students. That's a wait and see. There is a collective mixture of guilt, shame, anger and resentment given our past with slavery that makes it difficult for us to have an honest discussion. I don't believe we will see the end of it in my lifetime. It is still very raw. Ask Don Imus...
