...George C. Shattuck '31 died at his home in Boston, Wednesday evening. Dr. Shattuck was graduated from Harvard in the same class with Wendell Phillips and James Lothrop Motley. After graduation he studied law but soon changed to the Medical School from which he was graduated in 1835. In 1857 Dr. Shattuck was appointed professor of chemical medicine in the Harvard Medical School and was soon after transfered to the chair of theory and practice of medicine which he resigned in 1874.
