...injured should be back at work this week, although it is not certain whether Schumann or Sherman will see much action. Healey, Kelly, and Moseley will be in there to fight for their old positions. It is unfortunate that Kelly will have to be broken in against such tackles and ends as Holy Cross will send into the Stadium. Crusader tackles are always tough, and with the newcomer pitted against Buzz Harvey, there should be feathers flying...
...Wednesday's scrimmage John Dean and Warren Casey were given a rest, and Dick Waters and Brad Simmons filled in at fullback and center respectively. Neither Dean nor Casey are injured and both will be in the lineup when the Varsity meets New Hampshire tomorrow. Sherman, Schumann, Healey, and Kelly are still on the injured list, and in all probability none of them will see action on Saturday...
Casey's experiments have shown that there is good material on hand: to the veteran backfield group of Captain John Dean, Charley Nevin, and Arthur Barrett have been added Francis Lane, Allan Sherman, and Fred Moseley; Deeb Peter has been developed as a capable understudy to Danny Wells; and Shaun Kelly and Walter White have the makings of first-rate ends.
