...Hotel Sherman claims that Shaw is opening there on April 1. Since this contract was signed before Shaw left upstage, it's possible that it is more wishful thinking. However, if he does put in an appearance, it's going to be interesting to see how the trade bears up after having Fats Waller, Gene Krupa, Jimmy Dorsey, Count Basie, and Woody Herman--good bands all.
