First and foremost, there is no "delay" in coverage. All students who have not waived the Harvard Blue Cross/Blue Shield (BC/BS) Student Insurance are covered as of September 1, 1990. All of these students, numbering approximately 10,000 have been registered with the insurance company. Having a number is not a prerequisite for treatment by hospitals. No student covered by BC/BS has been sent to a collection agency due to the delay in obtaining...
