This afternoon at Watertown will occur the much-talked of match between the shooting clubs of Harvard and University of Pennsylvania. The conditions of the match are as follows: Teams of five men each, each man to shoot at 25 clay pigeons, thrown at 5 angles. The members of the club have kindly invited the members of the University to witness the match, and it is to be hoped that a large number will be present. Saturday afternoon a team composed of Clyde, Greene, Austin, Oakes, Meade and Palmer defeated the Jamaica Plain Gun Club team at the Shooting Club's grounds at Watertown. It will be remembered that a short time ago the Jamaica Plains were victorious on their grounds, and the third and deciding match, which is to take place at Jamaica next Thursday, will be looked forward to with interest by all lovers of the shot-gun. Ninety Blue Rock targets are to be shot at, thrown from a Blue Rock trap a distance of not less than 40 yards. Each contestant to shoot at thirty targets, 10 consecutively before leaving the score. The first ten to be thrown straight away. The second 10 at a right angle, to the right. The third 10 at a left angle, to the left.
