Yesterday was the first day the University crews were able to row on the Charles River. Thanks to ideal weather conditions and the work of Freshman crew managers in breaking up the ice, University C, D, E, F, G and H were able to take a short row from the Weld Boat Club. The ice still hinders the rowing from Newell Boat Club, but it is expected that the last of it will be gone by the end of the week...

About 20 candidates for the mile and two-mile reported yesterday for first spring practice. Owing to the fact that the cinder track is still unfit for use, a short work-out was held on the gravel in front of the Stadium. Regular spring practice is already one week behind last year's schedule...
