...three squads of candidates for the Freshman football team went through their signal practice in the first half of yesterday's play. After this preliminary work two short halves were played against the second 'Varsity. Hallowell's squad lined-up for the first half and played a very fast, lively game. At first the Freshmen seemed unable to break up their opponent's interference but after a few moments of play they steadied down and more than held their own against the heavier team.
