...match last Saturday between the Harvard Shooting Club and the Wellington Club. The result was very favorable to our team as will be seen by the score, for it must be remembered that the Wellington Club has a great reputation. A week from Thursday a match will be shot with the University of Pennsylvania team at Watertown, which will excite great interest, as the Pennsylvania men come determined to win and wipe out the two defeats which they suffered last spring from Harvard, one match here and the other, a live-pigeon shoot in Philadelphia on the Pennsylvania Club...

...pursuance of the plan formed by the management of the H. S. C. to obtain team practice before the match with Pennsylvania, the team went to the grounds of the Wellington club, on Saturday last, and shot a practice match. Contrary to the expectation of those who know the relative strength of the two teams, the contest proved very close, and the Harvard team showed unexpected skill. The Wellington team ranks among the strongest in the country, and the excellent showing made against it augurs well for the success of Harvard in the coming championship match.
