Harvard college is the largest and oldest institution in Cambridge. Around the University the city has grown up. It is consequently necessary that in any parade which shall be representative of the various interests of Cambridge the University should take an important part. It would show a poor spirit indeed if the undergraduates refused to help in making the celebration, which means so much to the citizens of Cambridge, a success.
