...Respect for Taiwan "To The Brink and Back" [May 31], about Taiwan President Chen Shui-bian's inaugural address, was informative and insightful, but it consistently referred to Taiwan as an "island" rather than a country. Although there may continue to be bickering about Taiwan's international status, there is no reason to always refer to it as a mere island.
