All the pieces were played with very good expression and showed a finished style, which could only have been attained by long and careful practice. The Vorspiel and Siciliana, from "Cavalleria Rusticana" was especially well rendered, and the softer arts, played by a cornet accompanied by the picking of the violins, gave a very good effect.
