With an 8-1 record as freshmen, the Class indicated that it was to be big in lacrosse in the future. The '62 trio of Watts, Pete Sieglaff, and Woody Spruance dominated varsity lacrosse for three years. On the hockey rink the Class was one of the best groups at the College in the history of the sport.
