Yesterday afternoon the Freshman eleven held its last hard practice before the game with the Yale Freshmen tomorrow. With the exception of a few fumbles, the playing of the eleven was extremely satisfactory. After a brief signal practice, the team lined up against the second and scored six touchdowns in a little over thirty minutes. Several long end runs were made, one by Randall from the middle of the field resulting in a touchdown. The line plays were successfully executed and netted regularly from five to ten yards. ...Seniors, after signal practice and line-ups with the scrub, played a short game with the second Freshman eleven and went through them almost at will. They outweighed the Freshmen about ten pounds to a man, and at no time allowed the Freshmen to make any gains through the line. ...Juniors lined up against the Sophomores after a short signal practice and showed lack of team work. They could make no gains through the Sophomore line, but succeeded in getting around the ends for long runs. The runners failed to follow their interference and there was a great deal of fumbling on both sides. The Sophomores played faster and harder, and scored the only touchdown made in the game by a long end run. They showed better team work and kept their feet longer when tackled. Kernan, Cutts and Ristine rested yesterday and took part in the signal work only. Matthews was again tried at end on the second and did good work. Putnam was out and took part in the line-up.
