EDITORS DAILY CRIMSON: As there has been some dissatisfaction expressed because the Glee Club did not sing Monday night after the Princeton game, allow me briefly to explain why the concert in the yard was given up contrary to expectation...

But last Monday the Princeton men left Cambridge immediately after the game so that there was no occasion for a serenade, and considering the result of the game, no occasion for joyful demonstration. Furthermore the evening was damp and disagreeable, sufficient excuse in itself for not singing. An item in yesterday morning's CRIMSON states that ".several parties of ladies and gentlemen waited in the yard in the rain for half an hour or more for the Glee Club to sing." They must have been "daft" if they expected us to pipe our tuneful bags under the protection...
...closing let me say that the Club expects to sing in the yard during June at least once a week. It is a difficult matter to get the fellows together oftener than that during the examination period...

...time was when small knots of men used to gather in the yard and sing popular college melodies; but that time seems to have passed for good and all, and the Glee Club ought to make up the loss by singing oftener. Both the 'Varsity and Freshman Banjo clubs, too, should do their share. The knowledge that they are sure to meet a warm welcome should be incentive enough for them to try the experiment of an open-air concert.
