Like most Alaskan homes. Art's one-room house is built for comfort; the land is built for beauty. Much of this must be intuited, for the Chelsea Theater production is murky. Hampered by a pedestrian cast, Alan Schneider provides a dilatory directorial hand. He has not propelled the action in a proper tempo, and in order to let the lines sink in, he has let the play sink, but Saved almost saves itself. ∙T. E. Kalem

Campus confrontation isolated students from the rest of the country, and by its manipulative method alienated a mass of students from what was seen as a radical elite. The alternative, building a mass base of support, was agonizingly slow. Do you sink to the lowest common denominator of consensus in building a base of support? If not, how long can you spend developing support for a radical objective?
