Twelve consecutive hours will be allowed for making a preliminary sketch, a tracing of which should be retained by the competitor. The original, signed by the candidate and endorsed by the supervisor of the examination, must be mailed on the same day to the Dean of the School of Architecture. The preliminary sketch must be entirely the candidate's own work in all respects and must be made without aid of any kind and without reference to books, plates, photographs or other documents.
