Died. Thomas Aloysius ("Tad") Dorgan, 52, of Great Neck, L. I., famed slangman. sport cartoonist, comic strip artist (Indoor Sports) of the Hearst newspapers, native of San Francisco; of heart disease and bronchial pneumonia; in Great Neck. In boyhood a buzz-saw ripped off most of "Tad's" right hand. He learned to draw lefthanded. In 1920, when he saw Jack Dempsey knock out Billy Miske, he had a heart attack.
