This is a newer, more modern Holmes, a man not afraid to show his emotions, a man with nerves and real red blood, just like the rest of us. The idea is not entirely a bad one. Who among us has never wished the sleuth would experience just a little uncertainty, display a tiny bit of insecurity, or even just once show a little warmth toward dear, chubby old Watson?
