...point a few hundred yards below Harvard bridge and back to the boathouse. The men put more life into the work than has been seen for some time past, and there was no loss of drive or shortening of the stroke. Morgan, however, was rather short on his slide, but his work on the whole was creditable, considering the fact that yesterday was only his second trial in the position, and that he has been shifted to the starboard side of the boat after rowing port for two years...

...crew. Thursday, the last day the men rowed together, the boat was heavy and spaced poorly between strokes. The catch was uneven, several men had very little bevel on their blades, and on the port side there was considerable splashing on the catch. Fish at number 2 rushed his slide and was slow getting his hands away from his body on the recovery, and at 6 R. Bacon did not get the full force of his shoulders into his stroke at the finish. Richardson at 5 and Newhall at 7 were the liveliest men in the boat. Richardson was especially...

Richardson who has been rowing 5 showed a tendency to feather under water, but his slide was well under control and he carried through a hard stroke. The men have been rowing in various orders and particular attention has been paid by Coach Wray to their blade and slide work. Regular crews will probably commence rowing in definite orders very soon; and as soon as the weather permits the floats at the boathouse will be put out as a preliminary to rowing on the river. H. V. Amberg '08, D. A. Newhall '06 and S. W. Fish '08 have not reported yet for various...
