...Deutscher Verein will produce this year at its annual performance a comedy by Gustav von Moser, entitled "Der Veilchenfresser." It will be necessary to make a few slight alterations in the play before it can be acted, but the piece will remain substantially as it was originally written. Proposals have been received from New York University and the University of Pennsylvania for dual gymnastic competitions to be held this winter. As the interest in this branch of sport has become very slight, no effort can be made to form an organized team unless enough men come out to ensure competition for the various places. If sufficient interest is shown, however, Mr. Dohs will undertake a systematic course of training with a view to forming a regular team, and will be at the Gymnasium every afternoon from 4 till 6 o'clock to instruct...

...Harvard team never came closer to defeat without actually meeting it than did the University eleven in the game with Dartmouth, Saturday afternoon on Soldiers Field. The score was 16 to 6; but a much smaller margin would have more nearly expressed the very slight superiority of the Harvard team. It was really an unusually close contest and up to the last five minutes of play seemed almost certain to end in a victory for Dartmouth. Each team had scored one touchdown, but Harvard had failed to kick goal, and with the score at 6 to 5 Dartmouth was pushing...

The Seniors, although somewhat lighter than the Juniors, played a very aggressive game and made substantial gains by end runs and trick plays. Aside from superiority in this style of play, their advantage was very slight. The touchdown was made after a quarterback kick from the thirty yard line, and two line plunges by Locke...

...Yale eleven will play Princeton this afternoon on the University Field at Princeton. A comparison of the season's play seems to indicate a slight but definite advantage for Yale in the game. The Yale goal-line has been crossed three times by inferior teams, while Princeton has only allowed one field-goal, but in general defensive work Yale outclasses Princeton. No eleven has made consistent gains through the Yale line. Dewitt's kicking is superior to Bowman's, but this advantage for Princeton is likely to be more than counterbalanced by the effectiveness of Yale's running attack...
