Set aside the worst-case scenarios - Bush, dispensing tax breaks to the highest bidder, rides the prosperity into the ground, whooping like Slim Pickens; Gore, horrified at the thought of making money from human and environmental suffering, chokes the economy with regulation - and there's still likely to be the need for an adroit hand at the economic tiller. And that may be a different choice altogether...
