This kind of attitude seems very much in line with the Administration's general thinking about the role of athletics in a University. "Athletics for all" is a favorite Harvard slogan. The intramural program goes far toward making this phrase real; but intercollegiate contests present another--and at least as valuable--kind of athletic experience.
