...Freshman hockey team had little trouble in winning the sixth game of its schedule from Andover in the Stadium yesterday afternoon. The playing of both teams was slow, except for the individual work of Claflin and dwWindt for the Freshmen, and of Donner and Murchie for Andover; and there were few evidences of any team-work. At the start of play the Freshmen forced the puck down toward the Andover goal, and there it remained during a large part of the game, the Andover men being very weak in carrying it out from the corners. The Freshmen, however, owing...

...University hockey team held a 30-minute scrimmage with the B. A. A. in the Arena yesterday evening, in which it scored three goals to its opponents' one. The work of the men was naturally a little slow after Saturday's hard game, but except for this was good. Play was about the University goal the greater part of the time; but again good defensive work on the part of the whole team, and of Gardner in particular, prevented scores. Pierce, whose position has been the only one on the team at all in doubt, continued to show improved form...

Milton fought hard throughout, and held the Freshmen to no score during the second half...

...University team showed marked improvement in taking the puck out of the corners and the following back by the centre men was good although the wings were slow in this respect. Palmer who played in Sortwell's place at left wing was inclined to be either just ahead of, or just behind the play, but in the second half showed better judgement and more dash. Huntington displayed his usual excellent all-round form, being the mainstay of the attack and aiding the defence materially. Duncan also played a strong game working particularly well with Huntington in taking the puck down...

...together, the candidates were divided into two squads, which practiced separately. This greatly facilitated the selection of a final squad, which since then has held practice every day that the ice has been good. The development of the team has been gradual. Team-play among the forwards has been slow to appear, and has only been prominent to any marked degree within the last week. The defence, however, started to develop somewhat earlier in the season, and has been doing well since then...
