Holy Cross defeated the University baseball team at Worcester Saturday afternoon 4 to 1. The game was slow and rather loosely played. Harvard lost because the men lacked the ability to hit when hits meant runs, and the base running of the University team was not of the first order. Had it not been for an error Holy Cross would have scored a shut out. Lynch, the undefeated freshman pitcher of the home team, kept the Harvard hits well scattered, and his varying degrees of speed proved very effective...

Interlaken, N. Y., May 24.--The University and Freshman crews arrived this morning. The University eight took a short row on the lake before lunch, although the water was very rough. In the afternoon both crews went out, the University rowing three miles in one stretch at a slow stroke, spacing out well, with a hard finish. The Freshmen also rowed well. The blade work was good and the boat spaced better than usual. All the men are in good condition...

...University team scored its eighth straight victory by defeating Brown Saturday afternoon, 11 to 1. The game was very slow and over half of the large crowd which was drawn out by the straw hat weather left before it ended. Brown was put to the extreme of using four pitchers. Warner survived the first three innings when he gave place to Conzalman, who lasted two innings. Clark was the next man in the box but he survived only one period, when he was replaced by McGovern, who finished the game. The wildness of these men together with the six errors...
