...University basketball team defeated the second team in a short practice game last night by the score of 20 to 12. In the ten minute halves the work of the University team was slow and lifeless, but this was probably due to the effects of the hard game with Yale on the preceding night. Before the preliminary work the usual shooting and signal practice was held, but the men lacked the life that has been such a feature of the practice this year...

Yesterday morning in the Stadium rink the University hockey team played a practice game of two 15-minute periods with the second team. Although the ice was in excellent condition the playing of the University team was discouraging. The forwards were slow on their skates and poor at passing and shooting. Fraser-Campbell, who took the place of Willetts at point on the University team, showed poor form, probably due to lack of experience in that position. Willetts' wrist will probably be strong enough by the end of next week to allow him to take part in the Yale game...

...long practice last night the University basketball team defeated the second team by the score of 23 to 9. Although the team work was fair it was less effective than it should have been owing to the fact that the forwards were slow in following the ball down the floor. The work was as aggressive as that of any practice this year, but there was a great deal of roughness and fouling which kept the ball out of play much of the time. The offence showed a slight improvement; but the defence, especially at the beginning of the second half...
