...outcome of today's game with the University of Pittsburgh will go far to show whether Cornell's recent slump is to be permanent or not. Cornell has been practicing both day and night in the baseball cage in order to be in the best possible condition to meet Pittsburgh. In spite of recent injuries the team will line up today in the same way as last week with the exception of Williamson who is out with a muscle bruise and who will be replaced at left tackle by Guyer. The team, as it will probably meet Harvard next Saturday...

Hardwick atoned for his recent slump in batting by two timely hits for a total of five bases. His home-run in the first inning was one of the longest and hardest drives ever made on Soldiers Field. Captain Wingate and Clark also hit well, each having two safe drives to his credit. In the field, the team played good ball, the two errors not proving disastrous in any way. Owing to Felton's masterly pitching, however, there was not much fielding to be done...

...victories against Princeton and Yale. In the Ottawa game last Monday, the University seven was far from being at its best and showed a number of very serious weaknesses. Since then, however, the team has taken a decided brace and has recovered from what was apparently a bad slump. The forwards have developed a fast, concerted attack, rushing together rather than individually, and keeping fairly well in line. In the Ottawa game the tendency toward individual play seemed to be the chief fault of the offence. Though the centre men made some remarkable dashes with the puck singly, they seldom...

Playing in the best form shown this season, the University hockey team out-played the B. A. A. team yesterday and won an encouraging 4 to 1 victory. The whole team played at top speed and seemed to have entirely recovered from the slump which has been apparent in the work following recess. The forwards displayed excellent team-work and with a fast attack and some good passing kept the playing continually around the B. A. A. team's goal. Palmer, who replaced Phillips at right centre during the latter half of the scrimmage, played a star game, scoring...
