...spring football squad had its last practice before the recess yesterday afternoon on Soldiers Field. The men were first divided into small squads and put through various formations; the work corresponded to signal practice, but no signals were used. After this the entire squad, was given elementary work in the formation on punts. The backs were coached in catching the ball and forming interference, the ends being instructed particularly in avoiding the interference when running down the field on punts.
