...seven-foot marble statue of Mormon Brigham Young lay crated in Washington awaiting a decision on just where it would be set up in the Capitol's "Hall of Fame." Sculptor Mahonri M. Young, a grandson* of the Mormon leader, wanted it to go in a small alcove just off the main rotunda. Utah sponsors wanted it in the rotunda.
